Frequently asked questions.

  • You can choose to have your photoshoot at my home studio, your own house, a beach, or a garden/park. (Newborn shoots are recommended inside)

    1. At my home studio, you can enjoy the comfort and privacy of being inside. I have lighting and props to use and the weather will never be a problem.

    2. Your home. Having a photoshoot at your own house allows me to capture memories in your own familiar and comfortable environment.

    3. Cockle Bay, Eastern Beach, Omana or your own suggestion. A beach photoshoot provides a stunning backdrop of sand, sun, and sea. The relaxed atmosphere and natural beauty of the beach create a unique and breathtaking setting for your photos.

    4. The Botanical Gardens or Cornwall Park. A garden photoshoot offers a lush and colourful environment filled with greenery and blooming flowers. The natural beauty of the garden creates a stunning and peaceful setting for your photos.

Whichever location you choose, your photoshoot will be a unique and memorable experience.

  • When it comes to family photoshoots, it's important to dress in a way that is comfortable and reflects your personal style, while also creating a cohesive look. Here are some tips for what to wear:

    1. Choose colours that complement each other and create a cohesive look. I’d recommend looking on Pinterest or Instagram to get a feel for what you like.

    2. Think about what the ground will be like when choosing footwear. For example, there is no point in wearing high heels to a beach shoot, but they can work in the studio.

    3. Solid colours and simple patterns work best in photos. Bold patterns can be distracting and draw attention away from your faces.

    4. Either steer clear of wearing the colours red, hot pink, and orange, or have all attendees to wear them uniformly. Otherwise that person becomes the focus of the photo.

    5. Think about where you want the photo to be in your home. Do you have colours you would like to match?

    6. Accessories can add a pop of colour and personality to your photos. Consider wearing jewellery, hats, or sunglasses.

Remember, the most important thing is to feel comfortable and confident in your outfit, so choose what you feel good in and what represents your family's style.

  • After the photoshoot, I will send you up to six preview photos, known as "sneak peeks," to give you a small glimps of the final images.

Over the next few days, I will then prepare your photos. These previews will be lightly edited to enhance their quality and will be sent in small file sizes, perfect for sharing on social media or viewing on your mobile devices. Depending on my current workload, this may take up to 10 days.

Once you have reviewed them and chosen your favourites, I will then proceed to fully edit the photos you have selected, based on the package you have chosen. I strive to provide a high-quality service and ensure that each image is carefully and meticulously edited to meet your expectations.

Once the editing process is complete, I will send you the final images in high resolution. These images will be suitable for printing and framing, and will be a beautiful representation of the special memories we captured together.

If you have chosen a package that includes printed photos, I will then send them off to Queensbury. Visit their website here for more information on them.

  • If you need to cancel a shoot, we will first try and reschedule for a new day/time. If rescheduling is not possible, I will refund your deposit in full.

If you are not satisfied with the photos, please let me know before editing begins for a partial refund.

If you have concerns about the editing, I will be happy to make changes, but no refunds will be given after editing has started.
